Stay unscripted...
What I mean by this is... just be you.
There is a time and a place to have a script, but know what you are talking about.
You must be knowledgeable; however...
DO NOT SOUND REHEARSED!!!!
I know many programs suggest to have a script, and it is good so you can get started with what to talk about with potential clients.
But, it can take away from who you really are and it can come across as unnatural.
This can be a detour for those you are trying to reach.
The key is to know what you are talking about and BE YOU!!!
This is real life and it should be treated that way, as it is acceptable as long as you are professional and honest.
